Robyn Reed is on a backcountry ski trip to celebrate her graduation for college. Two days into the trip she is stranded at the Leonberger Hut with strangers. Getting snowed in at a cozy Alpine lodge in the Austrian Alps isn’t so bad, unless a killer and a rapist is among them.

Fritz Schrundler is a revered mountain guide with a track record of saving people from the dangers of the mountains. However, stuck in the Leonberger Hut with seventeen other people, he struggles to keep his secret. Then he makes a mistake that costs him dearly.

Christine Berghofer is desperate to get away from her job as a cook. Perhaps with her friend Fritz by her side she can move on to running her mother’s hotel. But when she’s marooned with him during the storm she uncovers the terrible truth he has been hiding.
